Romal Mitr, a trail-blazing environmentalist and founder of Reimagining Earth, is dedicated to improving our planet. She passionately seeks novel solutions and breakthroughs to shift our environmental paradigm, inspiring action locally and worldwide.

Annika Naramreddy, a 12th-grade student at Oakridge International School, presented an insightful TEDx talk on textile waste pollution. She highlighted the environmental impact and championed a "Reuse, Recycle, Reduce" mantra, advocating for a circular economy.

Annika founded Pharz, a firm dedicated to upcycling pre-consumer textile waste. Her commendable efforts have already upcycled 2875 meters, diverting significant waste from landfills and promoting a sustainable environment.

Ilarion Merculieff shares Mother Earth's message on global challenges and Indigenous Elders' guidance. He notes that despite numerous environmental organizations, Earth's life support systems are failing. Merculieff urges a fundamental realignment in how we address human issues, stating "business as usual" is unsustainable.

With over forty years serving Indigenous peoples, Merculieff is a passionate advocate for Indigenous rights and a harmonious relationship with Mother Earth. He leads the Global Center for Indigenous Leadership and Lifeways and advises other key organizations. The discussion was moderated by Andrei Gheorghe.

The voluntary Vessel Speed Reduction (VSR) program encourages vessels to slow to 10 knots or less, effectively reducing pollution, whale strikes, and ocean noise.

Sean, the resource protection coordinator at Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary since 1997, develops policies and programs to address impacts from various uses. He also manages emergency response, enforcement, and community relations. Sean was instrumental in establishing marine protected area networks to restore fish and invertebrate populations and habitats within the sanctuary and state waters.

Arun Pandian, a KPRIET CSE undergraduate, is a Data Scientist Intern and a founding member of his college's AI R&D team. As an undergraduate researcher, he has contributed to multi-disciplinary research, co-authoring two papers on computer vision in structural engineering through international collaboration.

He has developed numerous AI projects (e.g., COVID-19 Detector, Sentiment Analyst, Digit Recognizer) and web applications. He has honed strong communication skills through clubs and competitions. He is currently researching applied deep learning in healthcare.
